Chief Justice John Roberts understands that the “judicial branch is not immune” to misconduct. In his end-of-the-year report, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court promised a review of the procedures used by the federal judiciary in reporting, investigating and processing misconduct complaints. The serious allegations of sexual misconduct by prominent Judge Alex Kozinski of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit of California underscore the need for the re-evaluation.
