Vicki Sproat, Esq., is the founding partner of Sproat Workplace Investigations. She spent 38 years at the Fort Myers, Florida-based law firm of Henderson, Franklin Starnes & Holt, P.A. as a trial attorney and employment law counselor. As a part of her practice, she conducted many sensitive and complex investigations for both public and private employers. Super Lawyers listed her on its employment law database for 2018 and 2019, a recognition given only the top 5 percent of attorneys in each state nationwide. Sproat was honored as 2017 Trial Lawyer of the Year by the Southwest Florida chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates for her distinguished career and superb reputation for high ethics and fair play. She is one of a small number of Florida lawyers to achieve dual Board certification by the Florida Bar (Civil Trial Law since 1991 and Labor and Employment from 2012-2017). She recently achieved the distinction of Association of Workplace Investigators Certificate Holder (AWI-CH) after completing a series of assessments at the organization’s training institute in Santa Barbara, California, signifying that she has achieved the core knowledge and skills necessary to successfully perform impartial workplace investigations.
